June, 2012 - New York, NY – Section 101, a leading destination for artists wishing to take control of their digital world, is pleased to announce we will be taking part in two very special events in June; from June 17-19th, Section101 will be at the New Music Seminar, having partnered with NMS for their annual New York City conference. In addition, Section 101 will be a sponsor of A2IM's Seventh Annual Indie Week, which runs from June 18-22, all around Manhattan.
Section 101 is thrilled to be a partner of this year’s New Music Seminar, alongside companies such as Pandora, Gibson Guitars, iHeartRadio, Spotify and more. NMS’s cornerstone event will take place at Webster Hall in the East Village (125 East 11th Street, New York, NY). CEO Liz Leahy will once again be presenting an 18-minute intensive talk on Monday, June 18 at 4:00pm on how creative artists can harness their power on the web. While at Webster Hall, you can find Section 101 on the Main Room Upper Balcony, where we will have a booth set up, providing demonstrations of our web platform, answer questions and give tutorials throughout the conference. Additionally, Section 101 is taking some space at the Village Pourhouse, across the street from Webster Hall, at 64 Third Avenue at 11th Street. As a sponsor of Indie week, Section 101 is thrilled to be working with the American Association of Independent Music (A2IM), which serves the Independent music community as a unified voice representing a broad coalition of music labels. The 2012 conference kicks off with festivities at Slate New York City (54 West 21st Street), and along with panels and presentations, A2IM will be presenting the American Association of Independent Music Libera Awards.
