While he may be best known for his two Olympic gold medals and countless X Game awards, Shaun White is a rocker at heart. As he told Rolling Stone magazine last summer, “I drop everything” when it comes to his new band, BAD THINGS. “It’s a very serious thing,” he continued.
BAD THINGS will be making their Southwest Invasion debut on March 15th, as part of the Quantum Collective and Section 101's annual event at the Whole Foods Rooftop, Austin, during SXSW. Guitarist Shaun, singer Davis LeDuke, guitarist Anthony Sanudo, bassist Jared Palomar and drummer/singer Lena Zawaideh make up BAD THINGS, a synth rock band that owes a fair share of its sound-credit to early 90s Brit-Pop. No flash-in-the-pan, their album dropped in October and they’ve been touring to support it since the summer. With an undivided dedication to their band, White just might have to make room on his mantelpiece for another piece of (musical) hardware in the future…
