A2IM's Seventh Annual Indie Week, which runs from June 18-22 all around Manhattan, is put together by the American Association of Independent Music (A2IM), which serves the Independent music community as a unified voice representing a broad coalition of music labels. A2IM is a Non-Profit Corporation operated by and for the benefit of its Members, promoting sector opportunity and improving the business conditions for its combined membership. The 2012 conference kicks off with festivities at Slate New York City (54 West 21st Street), and along with panels and presentations, A2IM will be presenting the American Association of Independent Music Libera Awards. Section 101 was part of last year meet-up, participating in the Executive one-on-one Sessions and meeting with labels interested in learning more about online revenue streams. In addition, Section 101 was a part of the Tech Day Case Studies.
